Who are we?

Following the merger that led to the creation of the TOTALFINAELF Group, the liquid petroleum gas (LPG) activities of TOTALFINA & ELF AQUITAINE in South Africa were combined into one entity - Elf Gas Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd. 

This company was re-baptised TOTALGAZ Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd.  in 2003, just as TotalFinaElf is now called simply TOTAL.

TOTALGAZ has been present in the commercial, agricultural and industrial markets as bulk suppliers since the 1970's.  The arrival of the Elf Gas brand in 1996 reinforced the company's position in the important cylinder market. 

The much-loved orange cylinders of Elf Gas are being re-branded with the TOTALGAZ name, and TOTALGAZ is now a substantial player in the South African LPG market.

With its head office based in Cape Town, TOTALGAZ presently has over 150 employees working across the country to be at the service of its well-appreciated customer base.
